How do I book a Wedding Celebrant.

How do I book a Wedding Celebrant.

1. How do you find your Wedding Celebrant?
A1. Your wedding planners should able able to recommend a suitable Celebrant for you. Of course an internet search will give you additional options. Established Celebrants wil have Google Reviews and Videos to help you in your decision.

2. How do I book a Wedding Celebrant.
A2. Once you have found a celebrant, if recommended to you by your Wedding Planners the Celebrant in most cases should write to you first. If this not the case a simple email outlining your Wedding Details and date and then you can communicate by email. A good idea is also a quick Skype call to ensure that all is clear and you are a match. Then the final arrangements and a booking can be made.

3. Is a deposit required for booking.
A3. In most cases no, as the email confirming booking is suffice, as an agreement. If travel is involved the Celebrant may ask for the Travel expenses up front. A nice way for final payment is to delver it personally after the Ceremony in a white envelope and maybe some written words from the happy couple?

4. What happens next?
A4. You may have some ideas already on what you would like to say to each other and your personal vows but the celebrant should be able to send you a few examples of different types of Wedding Ceremonies.  From here, you can cherry pick and add from these examples – it can short or long – anything is possible as it is your Ceremony. Then you all work on this together to a final version for the Wedding Ceremony.  This is normally takes 1-3 iterations before a complete final Ceremony is formed. Finally, on the day the Celebrant role is to ensure that the ceremony runs smoothly and is relaxed so if you have any special requests just ask.

Master of Ceremony

Master of Wedding Ceremony in Thailand Alfredo Alonzo.

A bit about your celebrant.

I started working in hotel industry in 1985. Left Manila in 1990 and worked overseas, been in Saipan USA, Kuwait, Oman and Dubai. My Thai wife is from Bangkok and we decided to move, work and live on Samui Island permanently in 2002.

I have a great deal of experience as a non-religious wedding celebrant since I used to be an event & wedding planner as well for many years, so I personally do understand the worries couple go through during the planning process. You don’t wanna miss a thing

It all started in 2007 when I asked our hotel owner where I used to work that I would like to be the wedding celebrant of the two hotels he owns since I love being with people, very particular and enthusiastic in doing MC’s when we have big events in the hotel, and said yes, I am quite nervous at first and after few weddings from two hotels it becomes natural to me. From then on, I continue to love being a celebrant with ease.

I officiated hundreds already from just the couple to more than a hundred guests from different walks of life and with the much demand for my celebrant services was increasing yearly, I have decided to be a full time non-religious wedding celebrant in 2011 till present.

I’ve worked in many hotels, villas, beach venues and with many wedding planners, photographers and videographers on the island and I am very comfortable working with them all and with that said you will be in good hands and for sure your wedding ceremony will be an unforgettable one. Lastly, I am very fortunate to be able to witness many of life’s great memories.

What I do as a celebrant

  • Prior to the wedding, I would like to meet the bride & groom days or a day before the wedding in the hotel or wherever they are staying to introduce myself and chat through the ceremony flow. Nearer the time the wedding planner will arrange a suitable time for me and the couple to meet up.
  • Answer any questions they might have, make a connection and to know a bit about them and it’s very important on my part to make them feel relax and calm before the D-Day.
  • I will discuss all the details with the couple and with some friends if they want, then we will do a sort of sitting rehearsal or if they prefer to have it on the actual venue, so they will know exactly what they have to say and do before, during and after the ceremony.
  • I can provide selection of vows from my previous couples in ways that are a reflection of their personalities and I am very flexible regarding the wedding script if they have their own already.
  • I can provide readings if any of the couple’s friend or family member would like to do during ceremo
  • I have a wedding script as well for those couple or if you have guests who don’t speak English that the

translator can easily translate.

  • I always arrive on the venue half an hour or mostly earlier than that before the ceremony and meet the planner to check the venue and sound system if microphone is needed then I would meet the groom and check with him as well if there’s any last minute changes from their part.
  • I am very happy and willing to give a helping hand to the photographer to navigate the group photo session after the ceremony as I always do.Samui Master of CeremonySamui Master of CeremonySamui Master of Ceremony

Justine & Adam renewal wedding

On 14 August 2016, I travelled to Phang Nga Province with my destination is JW Mariott Kao Lak, to do photo shooting for Justine & Adam’s wedding.

Adam And Justine with their cute boy 12 years old from England, travel to Thailand for their family vacation and 10 days before ended the trip. Adam designed to renew their wedding once again in Khao Lak Beach. He contact me though my website and ask me to come to Khao Lak to shoot his renewal wedding photo with his family.
Due to August is rainy season and a lot of rain all around Thailand especially Khao Lak, Phang Nga province will have more rains if compare with another part of Thailand.

Adam & I, we are very concern about the rain, especially if it still raining during ceremony time if so we unable to continue the program either myself also unable to take their shot during rain,

Lucky us, rain stopped with a little sunshine after that

The wedding venue created by square shape, with colorful flowers decor, smoothly soft sand with heart shape created in the middle of the aisle surrounding with flower along the heart.

Ceremony went through very well with sea and sand atmosphere; I brought them walk along the beach to shoot their family photos I ask bridal party and their son enjoying their time together with chatting, Running and chilling with incredible scenery without any guide them to do.

The pictures turn out from natural smile on to their face with happy feeling beyond expectation.

A little break after that and waiting for sunset to capture their stunning love with sunset scene and move back to hotel for dinner

I am so grateful to them for giving me a change to capture their stunning love with my camera. If you are looking wedding photographer in Thailand Please don’t hesitate to contact me.
