Koh Samui Thailand Wedding
Koh Samui Thailand Wedding,Samui is a beautiful island located on the east side of Thailand. It’s the second-largest island after Phuket and is around 800 kilometers away from Bangkok. There are plenty of ways for tourists to get to Koh Samui. The island is full of unique and charming tourist attractions, including stunning natural spots like clear blue waters, coconut tree-lined beaches,Lamai Beach and beautiful waterfalls. You can also explore cultural and artistic sites such as Wat Samran, Lamai Temple, Big Buddha Temple, and Laem Sor Pagoda. The weather and terrain in Koh Samui are quite different from Phuket, especially during the low season when the southwest monsoon brings continuous rain to the Andaman Sea coast from mid-May to mid-October. However, Koh Samui still gets plenty of sunshine during this time, with much less continuous rainfall.
Natural conditions
Koh Samui and the nearby islands are the northernmost parts of the Nakhon Si Thammarat mountain range. The area boasts 59 beautiful islands,The hilly areas are covered with lush forests that provide a source of water for the islands. Many mountains offer breathtaking viewpoints with panoramic views of the surrounding islands and seas. The largest and most inhabited islands are Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, and Koh Tao. Koh Samui is famous for its stunning and lengthy beaches, with popular spots like Chaweng and Lamai on the east side of the island. If you head to the southern beaches from Taling Ngam to Hua Thanon Beach (Ban Han Beach), you’ll find rocky areas and coral remains. While these beaches may not be ideal for water activities, they offer a peaceful atmosphere perfect for relaxation.
Koh Samui Wedding Photography
On July 24, I’m heading back to Koh Samui during the monsoon season for another wedding photography gig. Julie and Ian, a lovely couple from Australia, are getting married at the Nora Beach Resort and Spa. I arrived a day early to meet them at the hotel lobby, and we had a great time planning the wedding. We went over the rehearsal, ceremony, and photo sessions, and worked out all the details for their big day. It’s going to be beautiful, with photos on the beach at sunset, dinner, and an awesome after-party. Can’t wait!
Wedding day in Koh Samui
July 25th, the big wedding day finally arrived. The wedding photographers and videographers showed up at the bridal room to capture all the fun as Julie and her bridesmaids got ready with makeup and hair at 1 pm. It was such a blast with all the laughter and excitement while professional makeup artists worked their magic. The photographer and videographer team also made sure to capture all the little details like the rings, dresses, shoes, and candid moments. Around 3 pm, we split up to capture Ian and his groomsmen getting ready in their room. It was a riot with lots of laughs and teasing before taking some group photos. The ceremony was set to start at 4 pm, so I made sure to capture the beautiful decorations around 30 minutes in advance. The setup was absolutely stunning with a unique nine-layered seating arrangement for guests. The ceremony kicked off with a round of applause as Ian entered with about 40 guests, and then Julie made her entrance in a gorgeous ivory white wedding dress. The whole ceremony, conducted by the officiant, was filled with love as Julie and Ian exchanged vows, rings, and officially tied the knot. Such a beautiful day!
Dinner reception
After the beautiful wedding ceremony, the bride and groom strolled out of the ceremony yard, allowing everyone to take a well-deserved 15-minute break with drinks and canapés. I then gathered all the guests for a group photo on the beach and invited Julie and Ian’s family to join in for some wonderful pictures with the newlyweds. The beach photo session was followed by a stroll on the beach for more lovely photos and amazing drone shots by our video team. The weather was perfect, and we were able to capture stunning images against the beautiful light blue sky until sunset. The dinner kicked off at 8 pm with the couple’s debut song, followed by some lively dancing by the guests. The heartfelt speeches by friends and family had everyone laughing and shedding tears of joy. As the day came to a close, my team and I wrapped up our photography at around 10 pm. We bid a fond farewell to the happy couple and their guests, thanking them for choosing us as their wedding photographers on Koh Samui.
